45.00m Patrol Vessel

Following several successful new build projects with the Tor Marine shipyard, Macduff Ship Design were asked to provide a design for a 32 knot, 45m steel patrol vessel with aluminium superstructure. This was a significant milestone for the company, moving on from our traditional designs into the realms of high-speed craft. True to the progressive nature of the company and ability of our staff, we took on the challenge to produce a successful design. Following extensive design work on the hull form, arrangement, and weight checks, the hull form was sent away to the CTO tank testing facility in Poland for validation testing and final powering confirmation. These tests confirmed the previously predicted requirements. Following tank testing, Macduff proceeded with the detailed design work, including all class drawings for hull construction, outfitting drawings and steel and aluminium cutting data. After an intense build the vessel completed trials, meeting all specified requirements and proving the versatility of Macduff Ship Design.
