In August 2023 the Pakistan Navy Commissioned their newest tugboat “Bholu”. It marks the culmination of a 3 year partnership in which Tor Group provided a design, material and supervisory package to enable the build in the facilities of Karachi Shipyard & Engineering Works.
Speaking after the Commissioning Ceremony, Tor Group CEO, Kemal Torlak, commented:
“I am delighted that after 3 years “Bholu” is successfully commissioned. It has been a complex project, made more testing by the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on supply chains, but ultimately it has been highly successful and proven a model whereby Tor Group is able to partner with third-part yards to deliver an international turnkey shipbuilding solution.”
